Prayers and Praises

We enjoyed our loooooong weekend of Carnaval here in Brazil, and as one friend put it—”Now the year can begin!”

Praises for an amazing Carnaval Camp at Cajueiro—21 kids had an amazing time, Sunday-Wednesday, at an incredible little farm with a pool. Thank you to all of you who gave scholarships! Want to give one next year?

Praises as Jessica and Rachel’s colds and stubborn coughs are better!

Praises for a daugther who basically decided to potty train herself! I wasn’t sure if Jessica was ready, but on Wednesday she asked to go potty in the toilet, and has been pretty regular ever since. I think the candy rewards helped.

Prayers for all the Living Stones programs who are starting (or continuing) next week!

Prayers for our family, as we have some big decisions to make during this lenten season.

Interweb Reads:

  1. All Courage. All Strength. All Light: This is a book club post, and I did not read the book…but hope to some day. Some amazing quotes—and the author is a missionary who’s blog I follow as well:) (Velvet Ashes)

  2. Maybe We’ve got Evangelism all Wrong: “So what did Jesus preach, when he was “preaching the gospel”? After all, he had not yet died on the cross, so SERIOUSLY, what message was He preaching?” (Craig Greenfield)

  3. Here is the Thing about Coronovirus Racism: “The funny thing is, it's pretty easy to see that other people’s scapegoats are innocent victims, falsely accused of wrongdoing. But our own scapegoats seem to us like terrible people - BAD-guys who deserve our hatred and blame.” (Craig Greenfield)
