Prayers and Praises
Prayers for Jessica, as she succumbed to being sick too. She and I (Rachel) are coughing and blowing our nose a lot. She went to school on Monday, but had a fever in the evening, so I kept her home the rest of the week. She didn’t have anymore fever after Thursday, but her cough is enough that I didn’t want the other kids to get it.
Praises that we have three days off of school next week, to rest and get better!
Prayers for Carnaval in Brazil, which can have it’s good sides, but also has a lot of downsides and dangerous sides, especially for children at risk.
Praises for Living Stones and all that the communities and local leaders are doing to create positive opportunities for the kids around them! We are especially excited to participate in the Carnaval Camp for Cajueiro Claro, especially after the recent hard events.
Praises for our car getting fixed! Prayers for the price tag.

LENT!!! I hope to put together a blog just about Lent (as I did for Advent, long after the event), but here are my favorite FREE resources: Ann Voskamp Devotional for Lent, Jesus Storybook Bible Lent Guide, and Sarah Bessey Practices for Lent. Last year we did a coloring book (one page for each day) and that was really great for the kids, but it did cost money.
