March April Sun Fun
Praise and Prayer
The big thing that happened was that we closed on our first home on March 18th. Thankfully, it was spring break, so we had lots of friends come by, as we painted and fixed up everything (and didn’t do too much else). Official move-in day was April 20. All around this big focus, lots of things happened. In March, Caid got a pretty bad cold, which he then passed on to the girls and I. We all lost a couple days of school/work, and had a rough couple of weekends. Sofia really loved being a part of an afterschool program called Camptown, where they learned nature-stuff like fishing and knots. They had a big trip to a State Park, and Jessica got to join as well. Caid enjoyed a trip to visit family on the farm, and enjoyed working hard in overalls and boots.
Easter was lovely with family, and we enjoyed a Messianic Passover celebration (I love me some Matza!). All of the moving was a bit overwhelming, but waking up (with so much natural light!) in our own home has been a very special joy. Caid is walking right into his handyman era, with a new drill and various power tools. The girls are in love with their pink room. When I was single, and even while being missionaries, the idea of having a home felt like something that would weigh us down and be a burden. But in actuality, it feels much more like having a strong foundation and roots. Which is all kinda the same thing-depending on how you look at it. But this was the right step for this phase in our lives. And we are so grateful!

I carefully recorded all my favs from the past two months- quite a lot—and then lost this whole post and had to redo it. I can’t remember what all they were…so…they are gone forever and I will have more next time. Oh well.
