Prayer and Praises
Praises for getting older (it is a priviledge) and getting my first (yuck) mammogram and having it come back all clear (yay). We have really loved being in the country and able to celebrate birthdays with all our godkids (Maranatha and Liberty in September) this year—yeah, we’ve almost been here a year!
Prayer for Caid as he has basically doubled his life without getting any more hours in the day—he is teaching full-time (a rather hazardous thing to do during a pandemic) as well as going to IUPUI a couple nights a week for classes for his transition to teaching (which is like half of a master’s degree). It is going to be a very long 18 months, and we’d love all your prayers!
Praises as my parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary: prayers as they had just finished their COVID quarantine. Covid hit my dad especially hard. The doctor said his lungs look ok, but it is going to be a slow build back to normal. We are just grateful for the chance.
Praises as Sofia had her first parent/teacher conference, and the teacher said she was in the advanced class for math, and pretty close in reading-which is quite a big deal considering she was doing school mostly in Portuguese until this year! She is very excited about her first tooth being wiggly. Jessica has learned to write her name and most of her numbers.
