Prayers and Praises
We enjoyed some really beautiful “Fake Spring” days that felt like anything was possible and hope had come to the world. And then they crashed into cold, frosty days that made us grab all the winter coats back out of the closet. Half of the month was spring break—how is spring break two weeks now-a-days? It was lovely to have extra time with the girls: we put together a photo book of 3x5 cards of all of the coutries they have visited, as well as all the states they’ve visited. We also put together a cool family tree poster.
In the middle of spring break was Caid and Rowan’s birthdays (Caid was born in 1990, my brother John in 2000, and Rowan in 2010, so that helps with remembering things: and Caid’s birthday is 7 days before Rowan’s), and a wonderful trip to the Grand Bear Resort, made better by joining with our good friends from Illinois.
March was the month that broke me, social media wise, and I removed them all from my phone. Doomscrolling is not satisfying at all on the laptop, and it has given me the time and space I desperately needed…so then I began to help Caid with his music social media: you can call me his manager:). Check out his first music video, for the single that came out in April, “Peacefully.” March is also our one year anniversary of owning our first home. I’ve already started spring projects (reparing/spraying/prepping/painting the fence), and it is delightful in a back-aching and constant kind of way.
