Sunday Funday December 22
Prayers and Praises
Praises as we got to celebrate two years with our Jessica! So grateful to our Taco Tuesday bunch for special times this year!
Praises for all the end of the year Living Stones celebrations that went great, as we get to remember what God has and is doing.
Praises for extra time with family (Sofia finally got her daddy/daughter and mommy/daughter dates, and Caid and I got a date).
Prayers as I (Rachel) got stung by a scorpion on Sunday. I recieved great care at the emergency room, along with two shots in my bum. Nothing to do now but wait for the pain to go away as I type one handedly. My right hand (where stung) feels like it is numb and asleep. Gratefully, after the first 24 hours the pain has gone down, but any movement or tap on that hand is like an electric shock. This has put a lot of Christmas things on hold, but we are hoping for the best.

On Being an Immigrant: “It didn’t take long for me to realise that I was going to have to prove myself, and that all my qualifications and experience from America would do nothing to help me. I was going to have to start over from scratch, and this time I would have natural suspicion instead of natural trust from many of the people around me. If I had to describe that realisation in one word, it would be this: Lonely. I could no longer have the underlying confidence that I would always be supported by a wide community where I had deep roots. I was on my own this time.” ( A Life Overseas)
Trump Should be Removed from Office: As I prayerfully read this, I was so glad to hear the wise and gentle words written, as well as this update.
