He Just Showed Up! By Gary Wright

This book surprised me. I read it because my boss wrote it, and if I was going to help promote it, I needed to read it. But I ended up reading it in almost one sitting, and getting super fired up about it. I really liked this book! In fact, I quickly thought of some people I wanted to buy it for, and give it to (which is the truest test of any good book). I found myself dog-earring pages, underlining quotes, and itching to make graphics about it (another good test of a good book).

One thing became clear to me really quickly: this was the book Gary was meant to write. I think I (and many from my generation) shy away from the word “Revival” with a bit of cynicism. I want the proof. I want to see real change. And here is the thing: I do. I know Gary Wright, I listen to his stories, and I see all of it work out in practical application in spectacular ways. It is a pleasure and joy to see him share the history that he’s been a part of: and has consistenly applied throughout his life.

Gary’s experience with revival is something beautiful and holy, and makes me long for more of Jesus in my life-however He may choose to show up.
